I hope you’re well as we welcome the transformative, healing light of a Full Moon in Cancer.
This quote from Dr. King, which is new to me, seems appropriate for the energy of today as we honor his legacy.
Change does not roll in on the wheels of inevitability, but comes through continuous struggle.
~ Martin Luther King Jr. ~
Dr. King challenged the status quo, and knew his powerful words would divide and cause unrest. It was how he brought light to what was hidden and initiated change.
This cleansing, watery moon brings up the past and what we’ve relied on, and asks us to consider what we no longer need.
It’s an energy of rebirth, which means something difficult may need to be released.
Becoming aware of what needs to be untethered is not without pain. Well-established patterns and relationships, no matter how unhealthy, can feel safe and comforting.
Fear, doubt and grief often accompany decisions about letting go. But the space that’s created will then be available for something new to be born.
Six years ago, I followed my soul’s nudge to release some patterns that no longer served. This awareness put my life on an entirely new path. I am certain I wouldn’t be here writing to you today had I not made that choice.
Cancer is the nurturing sign, and encourages us to take initiative to fulfill our needs.
When we hunker down into our shells, we can create a safe space for our hearts and intuition to speak. It is in these private moments of retreat that answers can be revealed to set us free.
If this sensitive moon has you feeling all the feels, I invite you to allow your emotions to cathartically flow.
It’s not an accident that we have healing salt in our tears.
Sending you much love and full moon blessings. XO
